Kids In Combat

By Dean Keller

I landed in Japan for combat in Korea – Air

Force – B-29 reconnaissance aircraft (Spy in the Sky) at the age of 19

and left at 20.  I left in May, 1952 and our replacement crew was shot

down off of Vladivostok in June 1952.  There were survivors, all of whom

died in a Russian gulag.   We and they were spies, and not considered

POWs, so had no rights.

Also we had WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and more which all deserve a show.  My

buddy Gerry was only 18 when his aircraft was shot down – captured and

died in captivity.
